FAQ'S on Bridal photography & wedding venues in Essex

Questions frequently asked by brides when selecting a photographer to cover their wedding

Q: I am considering using you as the photographer.  How do I get started?

A: You can contact me via the form available on this website.  I would need at least the date and if possible the venue or venues for the wedding.  I will then reply to you either by email or by phone.  Ideally, I would like to meet you so that you can talk over with me what you would like from the photographer which you select to cover your wedding.

Once you have made the decision to use me, I will send a contract for you to sign.  I ask that you return this contract together with a £100 deposit.   The contract is essential as it is the formal arrangement between you and I for the provision of my services to you as a wedding photographer.

Q: When do I need to pay the balance of the fee

A: The balance of the fee is due 28 days prior to the wedding.  Where the wedding is booked within 28 days of the wedding, the full fee becomes due at the time of booking.

Q : What area do you cover?

A: I am based in Braintree and I cover Essex and adjoining counties.  I am happy to travel further afield and if required will go on location worldwide with you.

Q: Do you just shoot in colour or can we select the style we prefer?

A:  When shooting digital, everything is captured in colour.  During processing I will convert these images to the style which you have chosen, whether that is in a classic, timeless black & white or, vintage or any other style which is best reflects your day.  This is something which we should discuss before the wedding and I will initially provide you with a set of “straight” colour images, together with those in your chosen style.

Q: Can I have an album containing the wedding photographs

A: Yes. I offer custom-designed very high quality handmade albums from  [to be advised]  If you would like an album, I will make an initial selection of the photographs which I feel will best tell the story of your day.  You will then be able to review these and add or change the photos in that initial selection so that your ideas can be incorporated.

Q: How do I get the images?

A: All your images will be provided in a high-resolution format which is ready for printing.  They will be on a USB drive, in a presentation pack which reflects your wedding.  In addition, you will have access to a password-protected online gallery which has a direct print purchase facility.  There is a variety of print options available including canvas wall-art.  The gallery will be available to you for 12 months.

Q: How soon will my photos be ready?

A: The collection of photos will be ready in around 4 weeks from the date of the wedding.  Each photo will be selected by me and carefully edited to make sure that you have the best images possible.

Q: Are you going to post any photographs of my wedding on social media?

A: Unless you ask me not to do so, I will be posting a selection of images on my social media pages.  These provide current examples of my photography and are part of my portfolio.

Q: Do you use professional equipment?

A:  My cameras and lenses are from Canon’s professional range.

Q:  Do you have insurance in case anything should go wrong?

A:  I am insured for public liability and also have professional indemnity cover from Aaduki Multimedia Insurance.
